In most cases our firm is compensated by standard commissions, set by the insurance carriers, and calculated as a percentage of the premium.
GNW-Evergreen may also be eligible for various forms of incentive compensation based on factors unrelated to any specific client or insurance policy. These factors may include the level of premium written, retention, growth, overall profitability or other performance measures established by the insurers with whom we do business. In 2010 these payments averaged less than 1% of the total premiums received through GNW-Evergreen.
